Gold Trade routes

Set it once and the merchants keep walking. The price is a cut that vanishes on the road.

Stock Travian

Trade routes are a Gold Club feature: 2 gold, one fixed hour a day, up to three deliveries, gone after seven days.

Travikas

Trade routes are free and open to everyone. You pick the load and a repeat interval in minutes, and the route runs until you pause or delete it. Every shipment loses part of each resource to unsupervised corruption at the marketplace. The more often a route runs, the bigger the loss: 5% at best, 15% at worst between your own villages, and double or triple that for other players.

Setting one up

Open the Marketplace in the village you want to send from, then the Trade routes tab. Pick one of your own villages, or another player's village by its coordinates, the four resource amounts, and how many minutes between shipments. The form shows what arrives, how many merchants each shipment needs, and the shortest interval allowed for that destination: the time your merchants need to walk there and back. Farther villages need longer intervals.

The tax

Your village pays the full load, and the destination receives what is left after corruption. Corruption depends on how often the route runs: the smaller the gap between shipments, the bigger the cut. Between your own villages a route that fires every 5 minutes loses 15%, every hour loses 10%, and every 12 hours or less often loses 5%. In between there are no steps and no kinks: the rate slides down along a smooth curve through those three points and eases gently onto 5%, so every extra minute between shipments is a little cheaper.

The alliance rate applies when the other village's owner is in the same alliance as you right now. The rate is worked out at every shipment, so it follows alliance changes and village captures. The route list shows the rate for each route. Merchants still carry the whole load, so you need the same number of merchants, and they walk the same time. The delivery report shows what actually arrived. The tax is fixed. Nothing reduces it.

Pause, resume, edit

A paused route sends nothing. When you resume it, the clock starts again from that moment, so you never get a backlog of missed shipments. Editing a route also restarts its clock.

While the game is closed

A route keeps sending between play windows. You do not have to be online, and nobody has to open the village. The warehouse is counted at the second the shipment leaves, including everything the fields produced since you last looked. A route that asks for 10,000 of a resource every 4 hours sends it when those 4 hours of production are in the warehouse. Crop can be part of the load. A village that eats more crop than it grows can send itself empty.

The delivery report shows what arrived after the tax. The route list shows the last result:

StatusWhat happened
SentThe full load left.
PartialThe village was short, so it sent what it had.
Nothing to sendThat shipment is skipped. The next one goes out one interval later.
Not enough merchantsThey were still out, for example on a manual send. The route tries again in about half a minute.
Stock could not be updatedThe route waits and tries again in about half a minute. Nothing is sent from a stale warehouse.
Destination cannot receiveThe other player is on vacation, or cannot take traffic. The shipment is skipped until that changes.
No marketplaceThe sending village has no marketplace.
FailedThat shipment did not go out. The next one is still one interval later.

Nothing queues up. Routes disappear when either village is conquered or deleted.
